"Husker Fever" is already spreading across the prairies. I really hope they have a Championship season, they have been there so many times. In the first video, the stats were impressive, the one name that caught my attention is one of the few college players that I have remembered other than some of the great quarterbacks over the years. He was a "Husker" in the 70's, Johnny Rogers! Give him the ball and he was gone! He was the MVP in the Oklahoma-Nebraska Championship game. We watched that game at my sister Dorothy's house, the entire Harrington family gathered for the game. Rogers would win the Heisman Trophy that year. However, he was not drafted by the NFL because he was to small. He played professional in Canada for a few years and then was signed to a team in the NFL for year or so before he retired. He was an awesome player. You might find some old tape on him on the internet. His running skills and speed were electrifying.
