Angry, yes Racists, NO!

I am an American citizen and I am angry.
I am a member of the Tea Party movement.
I am not ashamed of either facts.

Everyday I read, write, learn and act.
I read current and past events in an effort not only to keep up to date but also to relearn the things I missed in my education and youth.
I write blogs for our movement describing daily my journey of rediscovering America and my government.
I act by going to Tea Party meetings and supporting our local efforts when I can.

I do not however have "hostility towards diversity" as our current administration would have you believe.
I am not a part of a robe wearing group that discriminates against a gender, race or religion. Tea Party members have a common goal to bring America back to the people and put the power of the people back to work and we are not doing this by violent means but by using the rights given to us by our founding fathers many years ago.
I want the elected officials to speak for the people that voted them there not their special interests.
I need a government I can trust in that will not continue to run us so far in debt that we have a made in China sticker stamped on our butts.
The name calling and accusations only tell me they are getting worried.
They know that America is starting to wake up and it does nothing but confirm that we are making REAL change.

Good morning America, would you like some coffee or how about some TEA?

Good thoughts and congratulations on your awakening. The main stream media and some members of our administration and Congress would like everyone to believe that the "Tea Party" are a bunch of radicals and racists. However, the Rasmussen Poll, the most reliable of those that do polls indicate that the "Tea Party" is comprised of 29% Democrats and 33% Independents with the balance being Republican. Glenn Beck did a show last night that I wish would be required "classroom viewing". He completed a through research of President Obama with pictures of everyone that that an influence in his life from childhood to adult. It was "eye opening" for me from mom and dad to grandparents. Grandpa and Grandma were not the typical "farm folks" from Kansas. It was really interesting to see it laid out in this format. As he said "it is not intended to paint the President, but to show that he did not have a chance from the time he was two years old." He was reared as a socialist, all of his influences in life were socialistic.

I can not get enough of Glen Beck! Like I told Heath he understands that there are people out there like me who aren't very educated in matters of our government and he breaks it down to an understandable level without making one feel stupid or unintelligent.
He was only the spark now I am finding heroes in my research and education.
Doing a bit of research now regarding the administration's attack policies and the type of tactics used by Hitler in his original campaign (not saying our President is comparable to Hitler but have a little theory...keep posted for it!)

You should read an interesting poem/story thing that I read while I was in my English A11 class. Its by Niccolo Machiavelli. I think the title is The Prince. There is a great excert out of it called "The Circle of Governments" A great political piece, from an old author. Interesting views on the government and its people. If you can find it take a look!
