Kenai
We have a new addition to our family and her name is Kenai.
She was named Kenai for our love of our State and because it went with our theme from the movie Brother Bear, which is where we also got the name Koda.
She has been a good girl so far as far as puppies go anyways!
Kenai has to sit on Koda and the funny thing is he does not mind!
She is not the brightest dog, if you enlarge the picture you will see that she has her collar in her mouth and she has gotten it stuck while in her cage.
If she can not lay on something then she has to be at least laying next to somebody. She usually sits next to Heath though.
Again Kenai sitting on Koda!
She has been potty trained for the most part only having accidents when we forget to let her out or when she is mad. Luckily we have wood floors so it is really easy to clean up.
From the first night we got her she slept in her kennel all night long with out whining once. We have let her sleep with us three times and while at first I though she stayed in bed only because she could not jump in and out it turns out she can so she chooses to stay in bed with us.
When we got her I was the one who wanted her hoping to get a companion but she has decided that she has little need for me but can not get enough of Heath. Oh well he does have that effect on animals even more so on cats!
Well we are glad we got her and she seems to fit into our family well!

You must have posted these two postings at the same time, I check daily and surely did not see this one. Of course, a nap and a poker game got stuck into the middle of the time frame that you posted. Cute dog, especially the way he has adopted Koda as his "mother", how will that affect his mental state when he gets bigger? Could develop into a crisis identity! Not being able to keep species of dogs separate when it comes to these breeds, I am assuming similar to Koda. Does he have a tail and two eyes? "Ole Ruger" has got to be such a joy, he has such a unique personality. He likes you to think he is independent but he is such a push over for just a pet or any sign of affection. The cold weather has got to him, when I take them outside, upon our return it is always a race between him and I to see who gets the best position in front of the heater. He will yield to me, if I ask him nicely but then he crowds in as close as he can to me and heater.
Ha ha that has always been Ruger from the first day we got him. He is a smart dog who HAS to curl up in front of the heater or in a bed.
Kenai is a girl dog and we have now decided we are going to get Koda snipped to prevent any unwanted puppies. Kenai is a purebred so we are going to wait to get her fixed!
